Whey Protein
Whey protein comes from milk, it is the protein that's been filtered off the top of the milk and goes through a process of more filtration to remove some of the carbs and fats. You can also get vegan protein which is composed from variety of protein sources, from pea, rice, hemp and algae.

Whey concentrate has been through a filtration and what is left is 80% protein. its great for your immune and takes approximately 2/3 hours for your body to fully digest, so its great for a midday protein snack.
Whey Protein Isolate
Whey protein isolate is 90% protein and the way they have achieved this is that the whey protein has been through more filtration to remove the fats and carbohydrates. Isolate has got a higher biological value than whey concentrate but has a lower immune fractions. It only takes the body approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour for the body to fully digest, which therefore makes it ideal to have after training to get the protein in to your blood streamer quicker to faster that recovery process.
Whey Protein Hydrolysate
Whey protein hydrolysate has been filtered even more than isolate but this does mean that is has reduced the biological value but has increased the speed of delivery your body stream which now its been pre-digested but still at 90% protein and only takes up to 30 minutes for your body to fully digest, which makes its even better to have straight after training.
Whey Protein Casein
Whey protein casein this is the other milk protein you'll find in milk and this is the slow digesting protein, casein forums a gel like layer around your stomach and takes around 7/8 hours to fully digest which makes it perfect to have before bed. It will keep you full for a long period of time and slowly drip feed protein into your body while you sleep so you don't break down muscle tissue while you sleep.
